The Makeup Show ~ New York 2010 ~ Inglot Cosmetics
Hey Glossies,
Inglot Cosmetics was a Platinum Sponsor at this year’s Makeup Show NYC and one of the most popular spots at the show. The beauty mavens had to have their Inglot.
Inglot Cosmetics is a Polish-based cosmetics company that recently launched its American flagship store in New York (Broadway). For some reason, I thought Inglot was an Australian-based company because the company has many stores there and all the fab Australian Specktra ladies would post haul images and swatches.
Inglot has so many product categories to choose from and there are even more colors and sizes. The great thing about Inglot is that a customer can create his/her own palette, which is AWESOMENESS!! *So much freedom* (Note: I am not a hug fan of preset e/s palettes.)
The eye shadows are pigmented and the pink e/s, actually, has the decency to show up on me as pink and not as silver!!
I had my eye on the Inglot gel e/l in Black and Brown, but I asked Jesus to be a fence around my wallet. Any boy, was He ever. (LOL) They were both sold out. The gel liners do not budge once set. So the next time, I make a trek into The City, I will pick up more goodies. I do regret not checking out the foundations, and, YES, there are shades for WOC. (Sidebar: I hope the online store is launched soon because I am ready to order more items.) FYI, the round shadows are slightly less expensive than the square palettes.
Overall, I think that Inglot will have its competitors shaking in their boots. The prices are not too bad and the quality is good!
Sorry no swatches. (None of these products are mine. Please thank @gingerrockingdc for showcasing her Inglot haul) Enjoy the colors!!

The Makeup Show ~ New York 2010 ~ Body Art
Hey Glossies,
First of all, I want to thank Michael DeVillis and his staff at the Powder Group for hosting The Makeup Show NYC. The show was excellent!! This year was the 5th anniversary of the NYC Show and many who have been to previous shows said that this year’s show was the best!!!
This was my first time attending The Makeup Show in New York. *Woop Woop* The event was loads of fun; plenty of products to see and buy. The vendor selection was awesome!(Sidebar: I am still tingling over Jane Iredale’s Magic Mitt.)
I also got to meet up with many fabulous beauty bloggers and makeup artists. *More to Come*

Star Gazin’
Hey Glossies,
A few weeks ago, Shana Janelle , reminded me about the special 2-hour beauty sale Neiman Marcus was having. I had decided that I was not going to purchase anything, so my makeup fairy godmother* ordered 2 of the Shu Uemura Nobara cream cover stick foundation in 734 and 504. 734 is similar to NC 44, while 504 is similar to NW45 and NARS New Orleans.
The foundation felt light on my skin and it wore well. Also, the foundation color did not oxidize at all!! *Double Yay!!* I have worn this combo several times and I really like the staying power. I definitely would repurchase.
I live on the Sephora.com “sale” section. That is a place where I can find some real steals and deals *some deep deep discounts*. (Sidebar: I am still kicking myself for not stocking up on Napoleon Perdis Foundation Stick #7.)
I have never really tried any Sephora products, other than the cream makeup remover (which I love!!) So I decided to get the Sephora Star Gazer Palette ($15 USD). The colors are pigmented and are smooth to apply. I love that it has a mirror Definitely worth the buy, if looking for gifts or stocking stuffers. I have not tried the blush, but I would definitely pair it with NARS LoveJoy or a bronzer.
Sephora Star Gazer Palette:
- Aurora (light, shimmering silver) (Top Row)
- Galaxy (deep, sparkling gray) (Top Row)
- Polaris (dark, matte gray) (Top Row)
- Heaven (nude, shimmering rose) (Bottom R0w)
- Jupiter (shimmering mauve) (Bottom R0w)
- Orion (deep, shimmering purple) (Bottom R0w)
- Blush in Soleil (perfect pink)

China Glaze Poolside Collection
Hey Glossies,
Summer is a-comin’ and it is time to start thinking about which nail polish colors to wear for the summer, especially the vacations that will lead poolside.
China Glaze has some HOT colors (Neon) for the summer months. The latest summer collection is called Poolside and I will say that I am loving it!! The collection includes:
- Flip Flop Fantasy (a hot coral)
- Pool Party (a hot pink)
- Yellow Polka Dot (bright greenish-yellow)
- Sun Worshiper (an orange-y yellow)
- Towel Boy Toy (a medium blue with a hint of purple pearl)
- Kiwi Coolada (a medium green)
The polish colors look best when 3 coats plus 1 top coat are applied.
I selected Flip Flop Fantasy for my manicure and I have received many compliments from church (yes, church!!) lol to the local haunts that I visit. Even my nail tech lady was loving the color A LOT!!
Which colors are your favorite? Are you excited about the collection?
