Friday Footwear – Joe Fresh Printed Loafer Pump
Hey Glossies,
I have been excited about the spring 2012 colors. One of dear fashionista friends, Dorene, sent me a link for the Joe Fresh 2012 Spring collection preview. I love the bright and vibrant colors and the silhouettes are modern and fresh.
Some of my favorite pieces from the collection.
One of the standouts from the collection is the Printed Loafer Pump.
I love the reinterpretation of this classic loafer in fun and whimsical fabric in orange and green. The heel looks to be approximately 2.75 inches.
Retail price will be $49 CAD.

What I Wore Wednesday – The Gilded Leopard
Hey Glossies,
It is well known how much I love an animal print, especially of the kitten variety, so when I saw the Gilded Leopard top, I had to have it! The Gilded top (black, shades of brown and a smidgen of cream) is comprised of cotton and metallic silk, which makes the blouse extra festive. The poet-style top (dolman sleeves) allows flexibility to create a daytime look and the metallic silk fabric allows any easy transition to an evening look.
The rest of the look allows the Gilded Leopard top to be the focal point. I love the Jessica Simpson pumps in black and gold herringbone print.

Spring Color Report for 2012
Hey Glossies,
As soon as the Christmas season is over, the spring fashions hit the racks, showrooms and websites. The colors that have been selected for the spring 2012 by Pantone are vibrant and fun with a splash of neutrality to keep everything in check.
Here are some great color options that are currently on the market.
Tangerine Tango – is a bright, fiery orange. I think it can work with all the colors.
Solar Power – is a burst of sunshine.
Bellflower is a blue purple. A great color to pair with the Tangerine tango and cockatoo
Cabaret is a bold rosy pink or fuchsia. Can be friendly with all the colors, but I love it with tangerine tango and solar power.
Socialite Blue – is a fancy way of saying navy blue, which I love and can never ever get enough of. Milly offers a pretty option in the LouLou dress. The dress also includes royal blue, white and the starfish* color.
Sweet Lilac is a quintessential spring color. I love it with socialite blue, tangerine tango and margarita.
Margarita is another quintessential spring color. Great with bellflower, socialite blue, sweet lilac and solar power.
Cockatoo – a mid-tone aqua. Great color for the spring and summer. Also plays nice with most of the spring 2012 colors.
Driftwood – is greige taupe. A cool neutral for the season.
Starfish - is another neutral color. Starfish is a great way to balance the other brilliant colors.
Which colors are you loving for spring 2012?

Friday Footwear – Kate Spade New York ‘Tabby’ Flat
Hey Glossies,
We are back to the grind, so we need comfortable shoes because of the non-stop partying we did for the past month. So a pretty pair flats are definitely the order of the day!
Today’s Friday Footwear selection is the Kate Spade New York ‘Tabby’ Flats.
What an adorable flat. The two-tone Tabby is available orange patent (and mid-tone brown leather). I have seen other color combinations, but this version is my favorite.
Stylist Corner
The Kate Spade Tabby in the Orange Patent/Brown leather can be worn with many different looks.
I created a look that I thought would be great for hanging out on a wintry day or would make a fun option to work in a casual office environment. I love how each piece works well together. The metallic sweater and camel mini skirt allows the orange POP, while the tights add a hint of whimsy. The wool jacket and bag add extra chicness to the look.
The Makeup Show 2012
Hey Glossies,
Please get out the calendars because The Makeup Show season is nigh!! Last year, TMS added Chicago and Berlin to beauty convention’s lineup. This year, Orlando, FL has been added! I am happy to see The Makeup Show expanding.
I have been to The Makeup Show – Los Angeles, NYC and Chicago and I have enjoyed the education, inspiration and community that the shows provide. I have learned so much and have met fellow beauty aficionados/artists, bloggers that I would not, otherwise, meet. The education and inspiration sessions are top notch. The shows not only teach the artistry side, but also teach the business side of the beauty industry and these training sessions are facilitated by top industry professionals. This is must-attend for artists who want to take their skills to a higher level.

What I Wore Wednesday – Touch My Ruffles
Hey Glossies,
I love a printed skirt. It can add so much visual interest and the print makes it easier to create a great look.
I ‘built’ the outfit based on the Anne Klein pleated skirt and I pulled out the colors of the skirt. The colors may not seem fall-like, but the colors are cool. Remove the cardigan and change the belt color and the look could easily be a late spring/early summer look.
I cannot stress how much I love Ralph Lauren and his work with ruffles. The top is Ralph Lauren in fig purple. The ruffles are silk and the bodice is jersey knit.
I love the cardigan in a charcoal grey because it winterizes the look without the harshness of black. I repeated the grey and purple in the pumps. The belt in purple suede was a gift and I am pleased and grateful that I did not have to hunt for this color because it would not exist. lol
The hosiery situation was, moderately, tricky because I was thinking about wearing grey opaque tights, but I did not see any that did not remind me of thermal underwear. I was perusing Talbots and I stumbled upon the ash grey panythose, which I thought was a better solution than wearing neutral or black pantyhose.

Tote Tuesday – Edie Tote
Hey Glossies,
I am in need of a new tote bag! My summer tote, Banana Republic Colorful exotic hobo in Navy, creates excessive pilling on my sweaters….not good! As a mom of a toddler, I need to carry a bunch O’goodies with me, so I need a roomy bag.
The J. Crew Edie tote has caught my eye and heart. I love the size and shape. The bag can fit a laptop, iPad (or tablet) comfortably (maybe not at the same time). The Edie also has sections for phone and smart device (iPod), for pens/pencils. I also love the “exterior flap pocket with turnlock closure.” Leather is matte and looks luxurious. The hardware is brass-finish.
The colors available are black and red. I do wish the Edie tote was offered in burnt sienna* (camel brown) or casablanca blue* (indigo blue).
Definitely on my wishlist.
Retails $348.
