Mix it Up

Welcome friends to Pumps and Gloss.
Amy Winehouse (Source: Londonist.com)

Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Mix Maven. For the most part I love fusion, which is evident in my music taste. I enjoy listening to Amy Winehouse because she marries jazz, 50s and 60s Motown melodies with contemporary lyrics. India.Arie is another favorite because she fuses soul and RnB with folk, country and  with anything else she pleases. One of my favorite gospel artists is Richard Smallwood because he mixes Classical music with modern Gospel. I love that these musicians think outside of the musical box. Oftentimes, they enlighten and energize us. They enlighten us about the deep spiritual importance of Total Praise, why forgiveness is very necessary, and that getting help for issues that plague us should be at the forefront of bettering ourselves.

Today, let us all go back to the drawing board and change the negative energy that we release into the universe and replace the energy with positivity. The key step in changing our outlook is the act of forgiveness. We need to begin to forgive ourselves and others, so that we can begin the healing process. I am not speaking idle chatter, we need to contact people that have wronged us and forgive them. Please let Pumps and Gloss know of any breakthroughs that you have made because of your decision to forgive others. Make 2007 the year that we get it together.

Let the healing begin,

Mix Maven
