Nothing

Nothing.

There is nothing you cannot do.  I know it sounds easier said than done, but think about it.  I mean really think about it.  Despite any trials, difficulties or doubts, there is nothing you cannot do.

But you must have faith.

He (Jesus) replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”  Matthew 17:20

“Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1 NIV)  If you have goals/dreams and the faith to sustain you, there is nothing you cannot do.  Nothing.

This does not mean go on American Idol when you cannot carry a tune.  I refer to realistic goals that have been pushed to the side for any number of reasons.  I know resources are hard to come by.  You may be petrified.  It may be difficult.  You may be exhausted.  You may feel that you do not have the time or ability.  All the reasons and excuses in the world do not negate the fact that there is nothing you cannot do.

May your faith in God and yourself free you to strive for greatness!

Be Encouraged,

Joyful Radiance

I lost my job in April through a very painful experience and have been quite discouraged since.

Yesterday, my daughter encouraged me to watch “Dreamgirls”. It was the first time I saw it. I was so moved by Jennifer Hudson’s performance as Effie White, particularly the club audition scene, the one where it was clear she had picked up the pieces and was moving on. When I watched it, I knew it was time for me pick up the pieces and move beyond the pain of my previous job.

This morning, I looked for more info about Jennifer Hudson and discovered that the “Dreamgirls” part didn’t come easy; she relied heavily on God to get her through. Once again, I was encouraged to keep moving forward.

But the best part was finding this entry with Jesus’ words – Time to move some mountains!

    Thank you for your encouragement!

    Pumps & Gloss,

You all have done it again. Post is great!! Right to the point. You know parents need to stop telling their non-singing kids, they can sing. 😀 😀 I will be checking out the goals resource.
