What I Wore Wednesday – Safari Cat Cardigan and Orange Ruffle Shell

Hey Glossies,

I had eyed the J. Crew Cotton Crepe Safari Cat cardigan because it is A.) absolutely adorable and B.) lightweight.   I received the garment measurements from Customer Service and felt very comfortable in purchasing the item. (There is nothing like have a gift card burning a hole in your wallet.)   I just knew that I was going to return this cardigan, but when I tried it on, it was a definite keeper.  On me, this cardigan is best worn open and I totally dig that it is shorter than my standard cardigans.

The Eloquii Trimmed Ruffle Shell in orange with taupe trimming was a great buy on a recent BOGO Free sale.  I am still confused by Eloquii’s sizing, but I ordered my regular and the top fit well.  The trimming looks a bit frayed, which I assume was done on purpose.  It does not bother me because I do not plan on wearing this top without an overlay.  Also the ruffle shell does not have the stretched knit back. For the most part, I dislike (strongly) stretched knit back tops because I do not like half flowy and half clingy. Rarely, if ever, does my back complain about being encased in non-stretch fabric blouses, especially if they fit well! *Am I the only one?*

@Kesha thank you. I think you need to find the right shade of Orange for your skin tone.
