Random Tuesday – A Sane Box Is A Happy Box

Hey Glossies,

Over the past few months, I have been using an e-mail management service called Sanebox. I found about this service through a friend of mine.  He went on and on about how he uses and loves it, so I decided to give it a try.

I have several email accounts for specific purposes, but I have one email account that functions as my personal e-mail account. I get a lot of good stuff that I do not want to delete nor put in folders, so I always had pages of stuff in my inbox. It was getting to be too much.

Sanebox lets you filter emails out of your inbox into other folders so you don’t have unimportant stuff in your inbox.  I have ‘trained’ it to put the few very important e-mails that it didn’t already recognize in my inbox and other less important e-mail to go to folders that I have created on Sanebox.com . One of the great features is the daily summary. I get 3 emails/day that show me which emails  I have received in the filtered folders.   I love the summaries because I still see which stores are having sales, which organizations need donations, etc, but without the cluttered inbox.

One morning, I noticed that ALL my e-mail was coming into my inbox.  I was horrified!  I realized that I had to update my password at Sanebox. I updated the password, contacted the Sanebox folks and my inbox was cleaned up in a timely manner.

So if you need a good email management system, I suggest checking out Sanebox sooner than later.  The website has a wealth of information to help you get started in the process. I really cannot imagine my e-mail without it.
